From 2011 WHH supported the Finance team that managed the policy development process that accompanied the introduction of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. We have continued this support since its enactment on materials concerning the public management reform agenda that will see the new accountability framework implemented across the whole of government. Our work so far has included:
The introduction of new corporate plan and annual performance statement requirements in the upcoming 2015–16 financial year will require some thought about how to align those workflows and approval processes with the more familiar cycle of portfolio budget and additional estimates statements and annual reports.
Contact us for more information about how this whole-of-government change is progressing.
Between May and October each year WHH partners more than a dozen Commonwealth entities in producing their annual reports.
We can help from the start, with planning advice and author’s briefs, through to physical delivery to the Parliament for tabling and posting of online version.
Many of the annual reports we have helped our clients produce have won prizes from the Institute of Public Administration Australia (ACT chapter) and in the Australasian Reporting Awards.
WHH has stayed current with the annual report guidelines issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet over many years. We also support some clients in preparing their portfolio budget and additional estimates statements, so we have working knowledge about the existing key performance indicator framework for reporting.
We will be keeping current as PM&C, Finance and relevant parliamentary committees work through the public management reform agenda in FY 2015–16 and subsequent budget cycles; and staying in that conversation with our clients and partners.
